CM Cascais, 2019

The Sports team of the Municipality of Cascais, as part of Carcavelos Beach Sports Development Project, challenged GASPAR to present a solution for children and youth focused on the development of motor skills, among others. The creation of an attractive theme and the use of natural materials were requirements in this challenging installation on top of the sea, which demonstrates, on a daily basis, the quality and durability of the solution.

Impact on the City – Throughout the year, despite the natural seasonality of a beach, countless users have developed essential skills such as balance, coordination, strength, spatial orientation, and risk management, always while socializing. It is the stage for groups’ organized initiatives and permanent spontaneous visits.

Interesting Facts – After 5 years and a lot of use, the materials are in surprisingly good condition. The equipment, particularly the most challenging, continues to be magnetic to the very young.
